Invitation to Bid
Wilson County Government invites interested contractors to submit Trade Contractor proposals for the construction of the new Wilson County Expo Center located on the grounds of the James E. Ward Agricultural Center 945 East Baddour Parkway Lebanon TN 37090.
All Trade Contractors submitting proposals must bid packages as outlined in the specifications and be licensed Contractors to perform the type of construction they are Bidding as required by Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 6, Amended by Chapter 9 and Chapter 406 of the Public Acts of 1977.
A Pre Bid meeting will be held at 9:00AM Tuesday October the 13th in Building “D” at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center 945 East Baddour Parkway Lebanon, TN.
Bids will be accepted until 2:00PM local time Thursday October 22th 2015 after which time they will be opened and read aloud. Bids should be mailed or delivered to “Mr. Aaron Maynard Wilson County Finance Director 228 East Main Street Lebanon, TN 37087”. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the contractor’s name, license number and classification, bid package and all other information required by law on the exterior of the envelope. Any bid submitted with improper or incomplete information on the envelope is subject to rejection. A 5% bid bond and 100% payment and performance bond are required. Use of the Bid Form included in the specifications is mandatory.
The project consists of (but is not limited to) the following major elements: Site utilities, earthwork, concrete foundations, concrete slab on grade, precast wall panels, masonry block, brick, and stone, steel, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, roofing, doors and windows, drywall and metals studs, acoustical ceiling, flooring, ceramic tile, pre-engineered metal building, fire sprinklers, mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical, and miscellaneous accessories. Refer to the Project Specifications for specific Trade Package requirements.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any reason, wave in formality or informality not required by law, and accept any bid he considers in his best interest. Bids may not be withdrawn for 90 days. Contract form for successful contractors will be AIA101-CMa-1992 (or later version).

Trade Contractors may obtain one (1) complete set of plans and specifications upon receipt by Lester Reprographics of a deposit check in the amount of $300. Deposit checks are fully refundable to all but the successful Trade Contractors upon the return of the plans and specifications in good order. Additional bid documents for Trade Package Bidders and other contractors and suppliers may be obtained through Lester Reprographics for the cost of reproduction.
